In case you missed it, in November we said goodbye to our social worker, Samaa. She has decided to depart Lake City Seniors to pursue her own private practice. We are in the process of hiring a new social worker and hope to have one within the coming weeks.
John is taking parental leave this month. Until he returns, Tech Help will be provided by a volunteer and will have reduced hours. Please check the calendar for exact dates and times that Tech Help will be provided. John will be back on Monday, January 6th.
A reminder that we will be closing for the Holidays. Our last day of programming for the year will be Monday, December 23rd and we will reopen Friday, January 3rd.
Here’s a look at the exciting programming we have going on this month:
- Join Silver Screeners for popcorn and a movie followed by a discussion with a volunteer from Scarecrow Video. This month’s movie will be Edward Scissorhands on Monday, December 9th at 1:30pm. Edward Scissorhands is about an artificial man – who was incompletely constructed and has scissors for hands – whose solitary life of is upended when he is taken in by a suburban family.
- Join Washington State Department of Health and Lake City Seniors for a community Flu & Covid-19 vaccination event on Friday, December 6th from 10:00am – 2:00pm! We will have the newest 2024-2025 vaccines available.
Covid Vaccines are NO COST to patients who are uninsured and underinsured. Flu Vaccines are NO COST to patients that are uninsured.
