April 2023 Update

Why are so many people tired on April 1st?
They just finished a 31 day March!

In case you missed it last month, we are implementing a new sign-in policy. We ask that everyone who enters the building sign-in at the front desk as well as signing in for any class you may be participating in. We want to thank you for your patience as we implement this extra step to help keep Lake City Seniors a safe place for all.

Are you Gen X (born between 1965-1980)? Take our Gen X Survey! The information you provide will help us better understand what adults who identify as “Gen-X” are looking for as they experience getting older. We appreciate your help informing our programming to better suit inter-generational needs and aspirations. You can take the survey here

We also have a bunch of fun and educational programming to highlight for you. This month John will be continuing his computer 101 classes where he will explain the basics on how to safely use a computer.

  • On May 1st the Wallingford Senior center will be hosting a tea party at 1:30pm where you can enjoy May Day with tea and light snacks while learning the history of Afternoon Tea traditions. Have special tea pots and/or sets? Bring them in to use or simply show off; if enough people bring in their teapots and/or sets, we can use them our next display! If you would like to attend and need help with transportation, please call 206-268-6740 and leave a message. The address for this event is 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N. Suite 140 Seattle WA 98103.

As always there are more exciting activities happening at the center. Please check the calendar here or listed below to see everything we have planned for the month of April. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Justin by calling 206-707-1865 or by emailing him at justinf@soundgenerations.org. We look forward to seeing you at the center!
