Book Reading: Requiem For the Status Quo with Irene Frances Olson

Join us for a book reading with author Irene Frances Olson as she discusses her new book Requiem For The Status Quo. Ms. Olson draws on years of experience as the caregiver for her father who struggled with Alzheimer’s Disease in the last years of his life.  If you are a caregiver, or know someone who is, this book will speak to the realities of everyday life and offer support and encouragement to those impacted by memory loss.

MLK Day Community Story-telling Actvitiy

Join Hunger Intervention Program for a fun and interactive Community Story-telling activity next Monday, January 16, after the meal service (1 – 2 pm), to celebrate Martin Luther King (MLK) Day.

Before the event, we would like to hear from you about your thoughts on MLK day and how we can honor his legacy here as part of the Senior Days.

There will be blank forms at the check-in table where you can share your thoughts with us.

You can either leave the forms on your table or return them to the check-in table. We’ll display all the responses on a board at the Community Center for all of you to see.
