Fitness Classes

Lake City Seniors offers several Fitness Classes. Due to COVID-19 Tai Chi and Chair Yoga are being offered virtually over Zoom. EnhancedFitness is not being offered at the Lake City Community Center until we start operating at the center again. Latin Dance is also on hold until in person programing resumes.

Tai Chi

This class is structured for older adults using slow fluid movements and breathwork to improve balance and leg strength.  The class is taught by Daniel L. Atschuler, EAMP (LAC), PHD Acupuncture and Herbalist.  He is a licensed East Asian Medicine Practioner. Classes are offered in English and Chinese.

Gentle Chair Yoga

Gentle Chair Yoga with an emphasis on relaxation techniques, provided by Two Dog Yoga. Class offered in English with Spanish interpretation.

EnhanceFitness, provided by Seattle Parks Lifelong Recreation, is an award winning class designed specifically for older adults with an emphasis on strength, flexibility, balance and cardiovascular exercise.
